Proper cleaning after tattoo doing will help you and your customers stand clear from the blood disease and infections. You will find some useful information in this article about how to clean your tattoo machine after tattoo work.

The best tool for cleaning your tattoo machines is an autoclave. You also need to prepare water, antibacterial soap, rubbing alcohol, q-tips, gloves, sterilized bags and tissues.

Wear the gloves on. And uninstall the tattoo gun from the tattoo machine by taking off the tube, grip and tip. Consult the manufacturing instruction about the steps for unscrewing. Put the tubes, grips and tips separately into three sterilized bags. Put the bags on the autoclave tray and fill the autoclave with sterilizer and water to its halfway point. Then start washing the accessories. This procedure may take one to two hours depending on the type of your autoclave. When the cleaning is finished and the temperature goes to 0 degree, take out the bags and dry the accessories. Change the accessories to other dry bags and dispose the used bags properly.

Wash the machine and the parts with soap and water. Use q-tips to help you clean the corners in the machine. Wash the machine thoroughly until the machine is completely clean and shinny.

Reusable tattoo needles should be sterilized strictly. And disposable needles should be thrown away properly.
